responsibilities:
- This individual will be responsible to implement the company s strategic growth plans into an actionable and defined operational plan
- This position will oversee the day-to-day activities of the structures and bridge construction division, estimating, and will be responsible for the identification, acquisition, and profitable completion of the projects to meet the goals
- Provide daily leadership to a staff of Project and Field Managers responsible for the planning and execution of projects
- Identify and recommend projects to bid/pursue based on a thorough understanding of current commitments, resource availability, management strategy, geography, and competitive advantage
- Lead the estimating process once a project is selected to pursue
- Participate in collaborative bid review process, in an open-minded manner, such that the end goal is arriving at the best overall approach, regardless of who authors it
- Work closely to prioritize key activities on projects in various stages from preconstruction through closeout
- Ensure on-time project delivery, excellent status communication, and reporting to internal and external parties
- Coordinate with other department heads and senior managers to ensure projects are properly designed, planned, and completed on budget and on time
- Work in conjunction with all internal teams to create, own and maintain schedules, budgets, and contracts during the project planning process
- Participate in the development and implementation of safety plans and procedures
- Be a key problem solver to issues affecting the rapid and high-quality delivery of projects
- Create, manage and track operational improvements and progress towards organizational goals
- Drive forecasting, value engineering, safety, and employee training/ development

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 7 years of experience
