Revenue Cycle Specialist

Are you an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist who is proficient in responsibilities including identifying patient reimbursement issues, ensuring that claims, denials, and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing-related issues. We are looking for skilled employees to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA who are looking to develop their Revenue Cycle skills.   

salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all facets of medical billing and accounts receivable management including charge entry, payment posting, customer service and follow-up in accordance with practice protocol with an emphasis on maximizing patient satisfaction and profitability
• Review the explanation of benefits (EOB) for patterns of rejected claims, then scan paper records into EMR
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements related to medical records and billing requirements
• Record patient payments into EMR
• Collect, post, and manage patient account payments
• Investigates rejected claims to see why denials were issued and correct claims
• Prepare, review, submit, and follow up with clean claims to various companies/individuals
• Provides timely and professional customer service, verify discrepancies by and resolve patient billing issues, answer questions from patients, facility staff, and third-party vendors
