responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings to ensure efficient and effective placement of fire sprinkler products and systems.
- Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Apply relevant NFPA standards to design and layout sprinkler systems based on building type, construction type, hazard classification, and architectural features.
- Utilize SprinkCAD software packages based on the AutoCAD platform to design and layout sprinkler systems.
- Coordinate the placement of sprinkler system piping with other building components and perform hydraulic calculations.
- Conduct field checks to verify the accuracy of completed designs.
- Collaborate with district contracting teams to understand customer contracts, design process scheduling, and installation crew delivery requirements.
- Coordinate the delivery of system materials to the job site to meet the optimal installation start date.
- Mentor and provide guidance to others in the proper execution of sprinkler design based on acquired experience, proficiency, and knowledge.
- Assist the sales team in estimating designs for fire sprinkler systems.

- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Education: High School (required)
