Job Overview
Rapidcare PLLC, Sanford NC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting and be proficient in medical terminology and records management. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and healthcare providers.
Duties
- Maintain and organize patient medical records, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
- Conduct thorough reviews of medical records to identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Update and correct medical records, including patient demographics and medical histories.
- Manage and process patient records, including electronic records and scanned documents.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining confidentiality and protecting patient information.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers regarding medical records.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records.
- Collaborate with other medical office staff to ensure efficient and effective record management.
Skills
- Experience in a medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and records management.
- Proficiency in medical office systems, including electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
