Job Description
Rathe Associates is currently seeking a well-rounded professional to join our team as an Account Manager. This role focuses on managing and developing relationships with existing accounts while also seeking opportunities to expand our business within the plumbing supply wholesaler market in the NYC/Long Island territory.
Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Assess your account's needs, provide assistance with any issues they encounter, and ensure satisfaction with our products and services.
- Sales Development: Actively promoting and selling our residential and light commercial hydronic heating equipment, including boilers, pumps, controls, radiant floor heating, and related products, to encourage stocking our products within the wholesalers' inventory.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at each account, including decision-makers and purchasing managers, to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and applications to customers, addressing any technical inquiries or concerns.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify potential opportunities for expanding our product reach and market share.
- Reporting: Keep detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback to provide regular updates to the management team and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and build rapport.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Comfortable with a dynamic work environment and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and challenges.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated territories as needed.
