Overview

The Manager of FP&A (Production) will be responsible for leading financial budgeting and forecasting for our operational business units and will interact with senior leadership regularly.

This role will play a pivotal role in helping us build a first-class financial infrastructure that scales with the growth of the company in the US and internationally. This role will manage Financial Planning professionals however it will primarily be a hands-on role requiring a player/coach mentality.

The key objective for this role is to help drive financial results by providing business leaders with data driven insights to support corporate decision making. Additionally, to focus on the development of financial budgets/plans/KPIs, analyze company performance and results, and prepare financial reporting.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the preparation of financial plans, analyzing actual results vs. plans, reporting results to leadership and performing ad-hoc financial analysis, as required.
• Partners closely with leadership team to develop and drive initiatives, business planning, performance measurement / reporting, decision support, board reporting and strategic projects.
• Actively work with leadership to provide objective financial input, guidance and analysis to help guide and influence management decision making.
• Clearly communicate and present financial data and reporting to relevant stakeholders, making any recommendations as needed, and leverage your technical solutions to help drive deeper analysis of data.
• Analyze the company’s business practices and identify/explore opportunities for improvement in financial productivity and processes. Lead the preparation of detailed financial budgets and forecasts for business business units/ sites.
• Build and lead a team of financial professionals providing appropriate mentorship and annual goals and metrics.
• Regularly review and interpret key financial metrics, responding and escalating any significant changes, as needed.
• Work with leadership to develop and refine business case assessments across the business, in order to support project and capital spending decisions. Develop reports for defined projects that estimate capital payback periods and rates of return.
• Additional ad-hoc assignments and projects supporting departments across the organization including month-end financial reporting, longer-term business plan development, benchmarking and process analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
• Minimum of BA/BS degree with a specialization in statistics, economics, finance, marketing or similar business degree.
• Minimum 7 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 5 years related to financial analysis.
• Experience with variance analysis (actuals to forecast comparison) and period-to-period analysis.
• Proven technical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills, with high levels of independent judgment, initiative and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to senior management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.
• Ability to work with complex data from multiple sources.
• Demonstrated effective written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Established ability using Microsoft Office, with a high proficiency with Excel.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
• Team player with the ability to multi-task between multiple priorities
