Position:
We’re currently seeking a skilled Service Writer to join our dynamic team. As a Service Writer, you will serve as the liaison between our clients and our service department, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional customer service throughout the repair and maintenance process.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients scheduling service appointments and inquiries.
- Greet clients in person and over the phone, providing professional and courteous assistance.
- Document client concerns and vehicle issues accurately and thoroughly.
- Create service orders and work orders, detailing the scope of work and estimated costs.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their vehicles and any additional work required.
- Communicate repair recommendations and pricing to clients in a clear and transparent manner.
- Handle billing and invoicing processes accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organized records of service history and client interactions.
- Always uphold company standards for customer service excellence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive or service truck industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including service management systems and MS Office.
- Knowledge of automotive or aerial lift terminology and basic mechanical principles.
