Who are we looking for?
As the Structural Analysis Engineer, you will have ownership of your projects from concept to prototype to production. As a contract manufacturer, our clients constantly challenge us to use new materials and processes, making this the perfect opportunity for someone who is self-directed and seeking to grow with a company. This is an excellent chance for an experienced engineer in structural analysis to enjoy considerable autonomy and variety.
What you get to do!
- Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and create estimates
- Engage in collaborative design with customers as well as manufacturing personnel within Composite Resources
- Lead project planning and design review meetings across multiple departments
- Create CAD and drawings necessary for part and tooling chain
- Develop production support documentation such as ply kits and lamination instructions
- Specify required materials and generate BOM
- Establish and maintain project timelines
- Monitor project costs
- Provide manufacturing support
What you will bring to the Team
- BS or MS in an Engineering Field, PhD is not overkill (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, other)
- 3-8 years of experience in composite vacuum infusion or resin transfer molding
- Expert user of SolidWorks or similar solid & surface modeling software
- Expert user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and schematics
- Thorough understanding of GD&T
- Capacity to build and maintain relationships with customers, both internal and external
- Self-motivated with excellent workload management skills
- Successful management of multiple projects, including scheduling and scoping
- Experience in designing tooling for high volume metallic resin transfer molding, compression molding, or injection molding
- Experience in designing tooling and fixturing for dry fiber preforming
- Experience in designing shop aides such as material handling carts, part racks, and work holding
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
