What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Coordinator position at Reach for Recovery?
To provide leadership and vision for Reach for Recovery activities, develop organizational fundraising, marketing, increased community visibility, and donor development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties to include but are not limited to the following:
1. Responsible for the enhancement of Reach for Recovery in conjunction with the Executive Director by being acting and visible among community local non-profits, business leaders, state agencies, and private organizations.
2. Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support Reach for Recovery’s mission.
3. Responsible for expanding strategic plans to ensure that Reach for Recovery can successfully fulfill its mission.
4. Management and Strategic Responsibilities:
a. Management of all social media and donor relation database.
b. Creation of the Annual Report.
c. Create and implement donor events.
d. Expand and maintain agency mailing list.
e. Assist in creation and publication of quarterly agency newsletters, brochures, and other agency publications.
f. Prepare and update agency brochures, stationery, newsletter, and report formats, bulletin inserts, etc. as required.
g. Increase/maintain organizational visibility in the community and participation in local community/church events.
h. Develop and implement an annual fund-raising event.
i. Develop and implement a planned giving strategy and program.
j. Develop and maintain Reach for Recovery’s Web page.
k. Receive and acknowledge all gifts to Reach for Recovery.
5. Provide the Board with information/training to enhance their fund-raising efforts.
6. Serve as a member of Reach for Recovery’s Leadership team.
7. Utilize all possible resources including Board, staff, volunteers, and media to advance the cause of Reach for Recovery, Inc.
8. Serve on Development and Marketing Committee to the Board preparing agenda and taking minutes.
9. All other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, preferred.
2. 2 years of development, marketing, and fundraising experience, preferred.
3. Strong organizational abilities including collaborating, planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
4. Experience, interest, and proven track record with major gift fundraising
5. Strong written and oral communication skills and appropriate self-confidence and maturity to effectively communicate Reach for Recovery’s vision at all levels and across organizational lines in a manner inspiring to staff, board, and donors.
6. Familiarity with the community’s civic, business, education, and church organizations.
7. Possess creative ability and vision.
8. Share a commitment to the organization’s orientation as set forth in Reach for Recovery’s mission statement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
