Reach Records is the pioneering Atlanta based hip hop and R&B label, home to breakout Christian artists including 1K Phew, Andy Mineo, Anike, Hulvey, Jackie Hill Perry, Lecrae, Limoblaze, Tedashii, Trip Lee and WHATUPRG. The company was established in 2004, and in 2008 was the first company to top the Gospel charts with a hip hop album, in 2012 had the first rapper to win the Best Gospel Album Grammy, and in 2013 had an album that topped the Billboard 200 and Gospel Charts simultaneously. This year, Reach brought home the label’s third and fourth Grammy awards.


Position Summary

The Marketing Manager develops and manages marketing strategies and executes campaign activities for the Reach Records roster, to maximize fan acquisition and engagement, and artist development and streaming consumption. Ideal candidates have prior experience marketing music across a range of digital and traditional channels and have a passion for Reach Records’ roster and mission.


The position reports to the SVP of Marketing and is based in the Company’s headquarters office in Atlanta.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Marketing ManagementDevelop release, marketing and social media plans for all Reach Records artists in collaboration with team.
  • Regularly interact with artists and management to jointly plan all aspects of an artist release plan and marketing strategy to align with the artist’s voice and vision and ensure the success of the project.
  • Ensure that marketing efforts represent the values of Reach Records and its artists.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns.


Social Media, Short Form and Influencer Marketing

  • Build & maintain ongoing relationships with contractors and creative partners to execute content needs.
  • Actively source new creative content partners to best meet the evolving needs of the roster and take advantage of trends in digital and social media marketing.
  • Commission out content requests for music videos, social content, visualizers, lyric videos, press photos, and other miscellaneous content projects. Commissioning tasks include:
  • Contacting and liaising with contractors
  • Pre-production logistics
  • Talent styling
  • Talent travel
  • Call sheet circulation
  • Overseeing production timeline
  • Attending content productions
  • Facilitating work-for-hire and invoicing process
  • Delivering final files


Product Management

  • Lead out and schedule artist meetings & project management meetings as needed.
  • Ensure timely turn in of assets to digital team & external partners.
  • Oversee development of release & campaign recaps for Reach executives & artist teams.
  • Coordinate with publicity partners to service out press releases and campaigns.
  • Work closely with the SVP to manage budgets for assigned marketing campaigns.


Data Analysis

  • Provide team with reporting and analysis of streaming and social media metrics in an actionable way.
  • Analyze streaming & digital data (such as Apple Music for Artists, Spotify for Artists, Meta Analytics) to inform project campaigns & reinvestment efforts.
  • Real time monitoring of spikes and moments, and anticipate and find ways to amplify and convert to streaming consumption.


Podcast Coordination

  • Oversee the production of Reach Records’ weekly 116 Life podcast show. Tasks include:
  • Collaborate with hosts to recommend episode topics on a weekly basis
  • Suggest potential guests
  • Recording schedule coordination
  • Facilitating post production with contractor
  • Writing Title and Description
  • Uploading audio to podcast platforms
  • Delivering final files to digital/social teams


Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of experience in marketing of musical artists and recorded music, having gained experienced in record label, music distributor, artist management firm, talent agency or marketing agency.
  • Strong ideation skills and ability to work well on creative teams, sharing ideas and sharing credit.
  • Natural team player and inclusive communicator, with a track record of working effective cross functionally and directly with artists and their teams.
  • High degree of skill in verbal communication, business writing, project management and analytic skills.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
  • Readiness for managing full marketing lifecycle of projects.
  • Excitement for marketing music at the intersection of the hip hop, rap, R&B and Christian genres.
  • Aligned with Reach Records’ values with a passion for music and culture


Compensation

Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hire’s experience.
