Responsibilities

Summary: 

You will lead large projects across Product Areas and Business Units and determine prioritization within the project and ensure effective delivery of project goals. You will align the project narrative to the business outcomes being achieved.

 

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

  • Provide leadership with recommendations on new project methodologies and tools.
  • Apply best fit for purpose methodology to project delivery whether it is Agile, Waterfall, or other strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, outcomes and measures of those outcomes.
  • Set and create a plan that allows for scope, budget, skills, quality, resiliency, stakeholder transparency. That allows for adaptation based on project learnings.
  • Present project plans, track the progress of project team members, assessing and taking proper action to account for risk and lead meetings between teams and other stakeholders.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and empower team members to do the same.
  • Continually update stakeholders on project status, milestones, or risks.
  • Build effective team relationships in order to increase alignment and accomplish goals.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

  • Agile Project Management: Manages projects within Information Technology (IT) or other functions in a highly flexible and interactive manner, in line with best practice agile principles.
  • IT Infrastructure Monitoring: Ensures the organization has the appropriate composition of hardware, software, network resources, and services to operate effectively.
  • Principles of Information Technology: Understands and implements the principles of information technology.
  • Project Management Tools and Solutions: Uses technology and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, ProofHub, Basecamp, and ClickUp) to plan and manage the full project lifecycle.
  • Software Implementation: Implements application software within the organization to address a specific need or simplify certain tasks. Ensures the software is implemented correctly and users know how to use it.
  • Vendor/ Supplier Selection: Requests vendors/suppliers to fulfil a business requirement that the organization has through Request for Proposals (RfPs). Assessing potential vendors/suppliers to the organization against a set of established criteria.

  • Agile Decision Making: Makes swift and agile decisions, and is quick to act before the situation develops or spirals out of control. Uses sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Planning and Organizing: Sets clearly defined objectives. Identifies and organizes deployment of resources based on assessed need and takes into account possible changing circumstances. Monitors team’s performance in meeting the assigned deadlines and milestones.
  • Critical Thinking: Makes correct inferences on complex problems that require critical evaluation. Understands a situation or problem by identifying patterns or connections and addressing key underlying issues and drives decision making.
  • Problem Solving: Leverages knowledge, previous experience, and skills to identify the crux of an issue and creates a workable solution to resolve problems. Understands verbal or numerical information and how to make reasoned decisions based on this analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Develops and implements improved processes and procedures to increase efficiencies or to meet business requirements.
  • Project Management: Manages projects from end to end including scoping, resource allocation and management, project planning, task assignment and tracking against project plan, assessing risks as well as project reporting. Ensures projects are delivered on time and under budget.
  • Solution Oriented: Proactively identifies opportunities and takes action to drive improvements that add value to business outcomes. Optimally aligns and coordinates resources that allows the organization to achieve desired business objectives.
  • Technical Credibility: Demonstrates depth of knowledge and skill in a specific technical, functional, or professional area. Expertise in a particular process, function, technology, machine, material, or type of equipment. Leverages this knowledge to solve specific problems. Acquires and applies new skills to remain up to date in their area of expertise.
