LEASING AGENT
The Leasing Agent is responsible for direct interaction with prospective and current residents. This position is often the face of Real Property Management Pittsburgh.
The role touches the leasing process from introduction through occupancy and is responsible for maintaining trust and communication from the introduction to onboarding.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Recording and maintaining prospective tenant information in the agency database
- Maintaining an accurate, up-to-date record of available rental properties
- Showing available rental properties to prospective tenants
- Prepare incoming property condition reports
- Responsible to submit weekly feedback from prospective renters for vacant properties
- Entering lease agreements / creating leases.
- Run tenant applications / background checks
- Providing feedback for and participating in continuous improvement of procedures and processes
- Other duties as assigned
KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Must have strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus (ESSENTIAL)
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Proficiency with email and Google Suite (spreadsheets, word docs, etc.) applications
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results
The Leasing Agent is highly organized with strong time management skills and an understanding of prioritization. Naturally driven to provide excellent customer service and to instill trust, the Leasing Agent is a natural communicator with good negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a professional demeanor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Some experience in sales / marketing or a service-related industry
- Computer proficiency Google Suite (Sheets, etc.) and other software programs
- Local area knowledge
- Managing referrals across departments
- Competency in, or the ability to become competent in, the following : Anti-Discrimination Act, Fair Housing Laws, Building Maintenance
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Minimum vacancy factor objectives met
- Monthly leasing targets met
- Established customer service standards maintained
- Vacancies are minimized and maintained within acceptable timelines
- Metrics used for performance : Customer service surveys, monthly reports, time tracker
TERMS
- Job Types : Part-time
- $15 / hr $75 bonus for each leased property (On average, we lease 4.5 properties a week. Average pay, including bonus, is around $24 / hr)
- We reimburse for mileage!- Working days : Saturdays OR Sundays are required (this is when most people want to schedule tours). Weekdays are more flexible.
- Real Estate Sales license preferred Experience :
- Leasing : 1 year (Preferred. Willing to train the right person.)
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensación : $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
