Manufacturing
The Training Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring that the capability of people in Salt Lake City Supply function matches the current and future requirements. The requirements will cover regulatory, legal, and technical aspects of the business. Training must be seen and understood as a basic business principle through all levels of the organization. The Training Systems Manager will be responsible for working with the managers across the factory to ensure that the most urgent training needs are being met.
About the role
The Training Systems Manager will work across all the site’s operational areas. This influential role should be as proactive as possible, designing and producing training plans that address the most urgent business needs. Resource will be directed at these areas to ensure that the training needs are addressed in a timely fashion. The quality of training and assessment and its recording will be monitored and audited. The Training Systems Manager will also be expected to be fully aware of reactive training issues and will be expected to provide solutions to these. Working closely with the Continuous Improvement team should allow this reactive service to be directed appropriately.
Your responsibilities
- Initiate a comprehensive review of training requirements which produces training matrices for each job role.
- Ensure training matrices for each operational area meet regulatory, legal, and technical business needs.
- Ensure a training plan exists covering all areas of the operation that meets the needs of the business
- Ensure training is carried out according to the plan
- Ensure sufficient training material is available and determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension (e.g SOPs, Course plans etc)
- Ensure that there is a comprehensive training measure. Develop systems to monitor this.
- Ensure that competency assessments are fair, accurate and consistent and meet the business needs. Assessment should have a monitoring system.
- Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed
- Evaluate the training provided to ensure it meets with the needs of the business.
- Analyse information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team
- Ensure that teams are recording training to the required standards. Monitor and report this.
- Ensure sufficient quality trained trainers are in place to enable all required training to be carried out
- Responsible for taking complex, technical information and translating it into an easily understandable format
- Identify the best training provider for each requirement. Where these are external liaise with HR professionals to ensure the best provider is sourced- and this is consistent with Reckitt Policies.
The experience we're looking for
- Graduate with broad experience (2 years plus) in Manufacturing Operations management
- Experience of establishing and managing a training system within a pharmaceutical, healthcare or food industry.
- The ability to influence at all levels and develop strong networks is required.

US salary ranges
USD $91,000.00 - $137,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
