POSITION SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Administration leads, oversees, and directs the staff responsible of the company’s administrative services. This position is also responsible for the daily functions of the Quality Department, this including any data analysis, data accuracy, and Information Technology (IT).  Ensures all services are provided consistently with REN’s philosophy and values; performs related duties as required.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafts and distributes statistical reports, analyses, and exhibits to company stakeholders and when required, to regulatory and government agencies.
  • Maintains the organization’s administrative policies and procedures manual.
  • Ensures the organization’s compliance with applicable health, building, zoning, and safety licensing and certification requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 
  • Enforces and maintains patient confidentiality as per the HIPAA guidelines. 
  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as REN policies and procedures in all aspects of job performance 
  • Participate in various company, department and information services projects as assigned
  • Meet or exceed department standards for production and quality.
  • Reviews and resolves insurance denials by examining the provider documentation; notify Billing Manager of any recurring issues and patterns that lead to the volume of denials
  • Works various billing reports as assigned and reports any issues back to Billing Manager 
  • Provides training and occasional on-site assistance to providers to resolve billing issues 
  • Monitors and/or Creates and submits the 837 files to the clearing house and works rejections to ensure accurate claims submission Posts 835 files from clearing house and researches denied claims for trends and possible system issues 
  • Handles escalated or complex claims 
  • Performs at “super user” level in electronic health records (HER). 
  • Acts as a mentor to Billing Staff modeling expected job role and responsibility
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS 

  • Knowledge of the principles of behavioral health recovery and adherence to REN’s philosophy.
  • Knowledge of state behavioral health individual and agency licensure regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and address events/crises which may develop unexpectedly.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, and sound judgment in an ever-changing environment with multiple and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office experience and ability.

 

EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree/5 years of administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the support of multiple departments, preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
