What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Software Tech Lead position at Recruiting From Scratch?
The ideal candidate is a full-stack, product engineer with the extra ownership that comes with being our founding tech lead. They'll play a fundamental role in shaping our tech, product, and company - and should both find that exciting and have relevant experience.
- Problem-space Immersion: Spend 6-12 months in the trenches, working in our offices, to truly understand the industry tooling, pain points and needs. During that time you’ll collaboratively build the first version of the product with real-time feedback from customers.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement.
- Interface with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and that the engineering team has clear direction and priorities.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of talented engineers.
- Prioritize and triage competing projects as they proceed through their lifecycle proof-of-concept, implementation-as-spec and finally production.
Candidate requirements
- 5 - 10 years of experience building and owning a complete end-to-end technology stack (Frontend Backend Cloud CI/CD): you have owned architectural decisions for a product, led a team, and enjoy being full hands-on.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills.
- Highly pragmatic and able to manage tradeoffs thoughtfully; fast-moving startup rather than “corporate” mindset.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- Proactive and collaborative self-starter with a strong ability to attract other top technical talent and lead them effectively.
- A track record of shipping and going through full product development cycle right from writing the first line of code to product in the hands of users and iterating quickly on feedback.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in B2B SaaS, AdTech/MarTech.
- Previous founding engineering experience.
- Experience with AI integration.
Salary : $140,000 - $250,000
