Our Client

Our client is an independent Medicare advisor. They are entering a huge market with a team that comes from Palantir, Latch, Mckinsey, Axios, and other great companies. The market is 60MM Americans that are entirely under-served and medicare accounts for 14% of the US Government budget. 

Unlike most Medicare advisors who search "major plans" or a subset of plans that pay them, our client searches every Medicare option available to you. This full search is why they find savings and benefits that others miss. They are not an insurance carrier. They are a 100% free resource to help Americans navigate the Medicare process.

Our client's goal is to revolutionize Medicare.

They recently signed a contract with Palantir which allows them access to the largest health database in the world. 

This role is either requiring you be located in NYC, or be able to commute to the office once a week. 

 

The Role: Growth Marketing Manager

They are looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to join their team. You will own customer acquisition campaigns, help launch growth experiments, and assess their efficacy. As one of their first thirty team members, you will help shape our client’s marketing strategy.

You will own campaign strategy and define the best targeting, creative, and bidding options to deliver on our client’s user acquisition objectives. Reporting to their Head of Marketing, you will work closely with him and the Company’s leadership to define KPIs and design self-serve data visualization dashboards to monitor performance.

One of the Key Performance Indicators in this role will be Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and you’ll help choose the relevant Leading Performance Indicators to obsess over.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, manage and execute media campaigns across SEM, paid social and display. This means you will be entering our client’s creatives into billions of ad auctions per day: you will always look for ways to “hack” the auction and get more value for the price they pay.
  • Work with the Product and Brand teams to constantly improve their funnel, from the messaging and visuals in their creatives to the downstream conversion rate of the leads they generate.
  • Constantly improve the Company’s understanding of the customer journey.
  • Share insights with the Marketing team and throughout the organization and foster a collaborative learning environment.
  • Research the creative and campaign strategies of other brands to come up with new ideas.

 

What You'll Need:

  • Outstanding analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, demonstrated by experience in User Acquisition Marketing or Investment Banking.
  • Fluency in spreadsheets and maybe know some SQL.
  • Experience managing Google Ads and Facebook campaigns (if you don’t, you should still apply if you’ve ever removed the F1 key from your PC because it slowed you down). 
  • You don’t need to be a total geek, but a data-driven mindset is a must. They solve business problems using numbers: there is no need to know the difference between a logarithmic and an Archimedean spiral, but you should be able to solve the following problem (bonus points for sending in the correct answer along with your application):
    • A coffee shop blends 2 kinds of coffee, putting in 2 parts of a $0.33 pound grade to 1 part of a $0.24grade. If the mixture is changed to 1 part of the $0.33 grade to 2 parts of the less expensive grade, how much will the shop save in blending 100 pounds?
