We are a younger Latino family located in Metro Detroit, excited to be going into business for ourselves. Together we have over 20 years’ experience in Sales, Business Development, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement. That we are very excited to take to this new venture and to share with the amazing team and culture we plan to build around us.

Reports to: Franchise Owner                                                               

Job Description: We are seeking a General Manager to be at the center of our world class client experience whose main responsibility will be to ensure a successful (client appreciated) install for lighting projects. They will be responsible for the accuracy of estimates, including the review of photos, documents, material orders, work orders, labor tickets, payment schedule and managing the subcontractors when needed. They will manage project schedules and warehouse inventory. This key role should focus on accountability, production and timeliness of work completed. This position is the heartbeat of the business so they will support the sales team and the install crew when needed.

Key Responsibilities: 

The specific duties and objectives of the General Manager are included in, but not limited to, the following, which are not in any particular order of preference:

  • ​​​​​​​On location during all business hours
  • Proficient in company software and their best practices  
  • Allocates inventory to projects in pairing different software 
  • Ensures correct product for Installer and organizes by their day’s work  
  • Orders and maintains office supplies and inventory 
  • Manages inventory minimums and maximums 
  • Manages vehicles, trailers and maintenance  
  • Creates product orders from wholesaler 
  • Executes daily duties in the office and in the warehouse  
  • Can perform daily customer interactions in a calm and professional manner  
  • Superior attention to detail and follow through 
  • Proficient in written and oral communication 
  • Establishes uniform correspondence procedures and style practices
  • Answers phone and checks location’s email
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality outcomes

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain
  • 2 years’ experience in managing a warehouse and/or small production facility
  • 2 years’ experience in irrigation and/or landscape lighting
  • 2 years’ experience managing others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 3-pronged approach

  • Starting $50k - $60k depending on experience

Schedule:

Typically, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday – Friday); additional off-shift and weekend work as needed or required.
