Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance & Facility Manger Manager, the Preventative Maintenance Tech’s role isrequired to perform preventative maintenance duties for the facility and equipment.
The role will also maintain, repair, and assist in the installation of new equipment, such as : electrical wiring and controls, walls, ceilings, lighting, pneumatic hydraulics, heating ventilating, plumping systems, and air conditioning.
This position is also responsible to keep buildings, grounds, and vehicles in a clean and orderly condition working both indoors and outside.
Essential Job Functions
Complete and maintain weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance requirements, maintain a 100% monthly completion rate of all PM’s.
Reports to work on time every scheduled workday. Follows Company procedures for reporting any absences or lateness if necessary.
Works independently but supports other team members as needed or required to complete tasks.
Handles the construction of walls, and ceilings, including electrical wiring and plumbing.
Maintains and repairs equipment, tools, and machinery as needed.
Assists employees while processing subcontracted help to ensure the job is done properly.
Facilitates the movement of materials within and between buildings.
Records the usage of all chemicals, tools, and equipment.
Follows safety protocol at all times, specifically while dealing with chemicals.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
3-5 years’ experience with general construction, equipment maintenance or repair, and electrical work.
Experience working independently with little direction.
Must have basic communication skills to comprehend memos, simple instructions, and short correspondences.
Basic knowledge of multiplication, division, algebra, geometry, measurement, volume, and distance.
Required to keep equipment and supplies organized in addition to communicating with the Supervisor to ensure proper supplies are stocked at all times.
Working Conditions
Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift
Must be able to frequently move and lift boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Required to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Will ascend or descend ladders.
Will operate a motor vehicle.
Tools and Equipment Necessary
Basic hand tools and ladders.
Pallet jack, hand truck, hydraulic lift gate, forklift, scissors lift.
Required Licenses, Certificates or Knowledge
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
Safety Hazards
Manufacturing environment requiring appropriate eye and hand protection.
Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
