We also operate a website providing instant, hotel-style reservations for over 20,000 properties in 100s of destinations to customers and travel agents.

Business Development, Host Program - Full Time Sales Role

  • Location: Petaluma, CA (On Site role)
  • Job Type: Full Time, Salary Commission
  • Hours: 8am-5pm (Monday – Friday) (Flexible Fridays)

RedAwning, a fast-growing leader in the vacation rental industry, is seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated salesperson to join our team.

We’re looking for a skilled problem-solver who’s organized, detail oriented and has excellent communication skills. If you have 2 years sales experience working in the tech, hospitality or real estate industries, then we want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and quickly close deals and start generating monthly commissions. Help us build the short term vacation rental collection of the future.

Position Summary: This position full time sales position will report to the Director of Sales and will work closely with other members of the Property Owner sales team. You would work in the Petaluma office situated on the Petaluma River. The role requires strong communication skills and an understanding of business-to-customer sales. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking to Property Owners at a high level, understanding their needs and sharing how they would benefit from the RedAwning Property Owner program.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to the following:

  • Sign new accounts/properties on to RedAwning products and services
  • Work all leads sent in a timely manner.
  • All sales communication activity will be logged and tracked in Hubspot. HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Develop strong relationships with Property Owner prospects in order to sign them up and get additional properties and referrals.
  • Recognize business opportunities with each individual property and execute sales generation strategies.
  • Provide consultative support to Property Owners.
  • Be prepared to handle objections and help property owners with questions.
  • Adept knowledge and understanding of RedAwning systems and tools.
  • Attend Sales Team meetings/calls.
  • Provide monthly commission reports to the Director of Sales.
  • Additional tasks as directed by the Director of Sales.

Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities include:

Education and/ or experience:

  • BS / BA degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Two or more years in sales or account management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in real estate, travel and/or hospitality industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the short term vacation rental market is a plus.

Abilities and Attributes:

  • Strong prospecting skills
  • Confident phone presence and comfortable having high-level conversations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to present our offering through Google Meetings/Zoom calls
  • Must be accurate, organized, and highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and effectively manage time/workload
  • Self-starter, works independently and accomplishes tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must be proactive in identifying and proposing solutions

Work Environment:

  • This position would work out of our Petaluma office and may require some occasional travel
  • In the office, the work environment is a normal office environment, with business casual attire

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
