What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sample Management Coordinator position at Redbock?
A mid-sized life science company in the greater Boston area is looking to add a contract Sample Management Coordinator to their team for the next year. In this position you will focus on pulling samples, assisting with sample management & coordination, documentation and will communicate with external labs as needed. Ideal candidates will have onsite availability with 1-5 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with incoming sample receipt and entry into an EDMS (Electronic Document Management System), as well as, sample reconciliation
- Work with laboratory staff to locate samples in inventory and track samples that are signed out of inventory in efforts to maintain inventory organization.
- Ensure full quality control of all samples and project-initiation documents prior to release to the laboratories.
- Coordinate shipments of samples to internal and external laboratories
- Verifies data entry completed by others.
- Maintain data trackers for Quality Control.
- Properly handles, stores, and disposes of hazardous materials according to OSHA and company procedures.
- Ensures all work performed strictly adheres to SOPS and cGMP requirements.
- Follows good documentation practices, all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred
- 1-5 years of related work experience
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to drive, and work well, in teams
- Functional knowledge of working in a GMP environment
- Knowledge of QC flows/Sample Management
- Knowledge of Gene Therapy workflows, preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
