We’re building a world-class sales organization, putting the customer first at every step and hiring and developing the best agents and leaders in real estate. As the Director of our Southern California Markets you’ll lead the charge in these efforts; you are responsible for the performance of one of the most coveted real estate markets in the world. The top priorities of your position are to deliver on Redfin’s vision to be the best employer of real estate agents, to run a profitable operation and most importantly, to continue changing real estate in the consumer’s favor. Through your market managers and their team managers and agents, you’re responsible for delivering on an exceptional customer experience which includes growing your loyalty business, winning the high-end market and meeting or exceeding your revenue and profit targets. You are a team builder who is comfortable with ambiguity, while being a strategic decision-maker as you execute on the company’s go-to-market strategy. You hire well and build your talent through a strong culture, motivating your org and focusing on the things that matter. You are able to dig into the details and root causes but also can step back and see the big picture. You have an analytical mindset, and understand your business and it’s people. You provide actionable feedback for the success of your markets and the organization. As you master the responsibilities of overseeing markets, you’ll contribute at the senior level of operations, providing expertise in the sales process, sales programs and execution that benefit all of Redfin. Contributing to initiatives like our Best Agents strategy, our luxury brand, Premier, and customer loyalty efforts. Your success is striking a balance in your time between hiring and developing our next level of managers and overseeing their markets while providing a strong voice on what we need to do to be a more effective sales organization and the tools and features both our agents and customers need to win. This role will require you to travel approximately 5-7 days per month on average. The role reports to the Senior Vice President of Real Estate Operations. What You’ll Do Financial Responsibility: You will be held accountable for hitting revenue, profits and loyalty targets including growing market share. You will also assist in developing market budgets in alignment with company-wide annual growth plans. Build the Best Team: Ensure that we hire, train, develop and retain a world-class sales force, making Redfin the best employer in real estate. Lead and Inspire: Lead and guide market managers and team managers in the actions they need to take to meet and exceed their financial targets. You will also play an active role in fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. Entrepreneurial: Develop new ways of scaling our execution across all markets. You are disciplined in your approach and can help other senior leaders in execution strategies. Work Cross Functionally: You’ll work across organizations to provide feedback on what’s working and what isn’t with suggested ways of improving performance and delivering results for our customers and agents. Work on Key Initiatives: You’ll work on and own special projects that help the overall organization achieve results through execution on our programs and developing new processes for excellence. Who You Are Sales Leadership: 7 years successfully leading large distributed sales teams at scale within a complex corporate structure. You also have experience with residential real estate sales. You also have general management and P&L experience in functional or corporate roles. The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Washington, and California. Base Pay Range: $153,500.00 - 229,700.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity. Potential for uncapped bonuses based on individual productivity goals. Potential for merit increases and stock grants based on performance.
