Evansville, IN Full Time
POSTED ON 5/17/2022 CLOSED ON 6/16/2022

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Designer position at Redstitch?

Over 4 million businesses will close their doors this year citing poor marketing (including their website) as the reason for their failure.

To make matters worse, most agencies and other related firms hired to solve these issues and drive the results these businesses desperately need aren’t equipped for the job.

Through our amazing team and proprietary platform, ConvertIQ, we are looking to change all that.

If you are the type of person that loves a challenge and, through your talents, think you can get these businesses to not only survive but to thrive, keep reading…We might just have the job for you!

The Position

Redstitch is looking for a creative Web Designer that leverages our proprietary web system to drive real-world results for our customers. We need someone with an extreme eye for detail who will handle the work from beginning to end, at times with little direction or oversight. You will be expected to solve the problem at hand in the most efficient way possible while meeting the high standards of the organization.

This is an extremely challenging position. You will be expected to be a bit of a cowboy at times - not being afraid to jump in to take on anything - to deliver the conversions our customers need to move their businesses forward.

You will be expected to:

  • Create websites from scratch in days or weeks, not months or years
  • Build new pages in hours, not days
  • Fix UX problems on existing customer sites to improve results
  • Manage and complete ad hoc client web requests
  • Continuously improve our web systems model and build things that scale
  • Provide design direction for graphics that support content or other web initiatives
  • Continue to learn and improve

Requirements

Must Haves:

  • Professional background as a Web Designer, User Experience Designer, or similar role.
  • Portfolio of recent websites with the ability to explain how you solved the problems of the organization
  • A passion for problem solving, system building, and driving results
  • Wordpress expertise
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills, both to internal teams and external customers
  • Relentless pursuit of the RIGHT solution - one that will drive conversions for our customers
  • A love for all things digital - constantly keeping a pulse on how the digital landscape is evolving and can be effectively utilized

Considered a Plus:

  • Knowledge of Javascript/jQuery
  • Ability to create web page copy
  • Experience/Understanding of technical SEO

Measurements of Success

  • Through the web, ensure we are on a path to at least double the tracked conversions for our customers by the end of the first year of working with us.
  • Continue to increase the number of conversions for our customers in the subsequent months and years that follow.
  • Decrease and eventually eliminate the amount of time our co-founder spends on web related problems/solutions.
  • Through system improvement, decrease the amount of time it takes to perform web related tasks all while improving quality and effectiveness.

Career Advancement

In this position, you’ll have the potential to grow into someone that leads our website creation & management practice.

This will be the first hire within this division of the company. It is currently led by our co-founder. If you are the right person that continues to add value to the company, your colleagues, and our customers and want to advance, there will be countless opportunities to do so.

YOU will be the only limiting factor for advancement.

About Redstitch

Redstitch has created a proprietary business model and AI platform called ConvertIQ that accelerates the growth of businesses to the tune of a 2-10X increase on the number of conversions (think leads) in the first year of working with us. If we don’t, we offer up to a 100% money back guarantee to our customers.

Through our systems, tools, and people, we are on a mission to revolutionize the digital marketing agency landscape and drastically increase the expected results customers get from their marketing programs.

If you are somebody that is up for the challenge and wants to make a huge difference to the companies we work with, apply today.
