What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Director position at Refresh Mental Health?
Canopy Cove is an eating disorder treatment facility that provides treatment to both adults and adolescents. Canopy Cove is located on a 55-acre horse ranch offering scenic views of a luscious green landscape. We are looking for a Nursing Director to join our team.
The Nursing Director provides oversight of Residential and PHP programs. The Nursing Director objectively supports Canopy Coves program mission for healing, innovation, and outcome-measured outpatient care philosophy.
This is a full time salaried (40 hours) permanent position with benefits. This position reports to the Medical Director.

Job Duties:
- Supervising all nursing staff
- Overseeing department budgets
- Reporting to higher management in the healthcare facilities.
- Maintaining high Standards of care for all patients.
- Maintaining patients data and medical records
- Communicating with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health
- Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff
- Ensuring ongoing monthly and yearly trainings are occurring.
- Implementing new procedures and training nurses on policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited or state approved nursing program.
- At least 1 year of Director of nursing experience.
- Training, experience and/or demonstrated interest in eating disorders.
- Clean legal record.
- Full Florida Licensure
