What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at Refuge House?
Refuge House is currently accepting applications for the Director of Crisis Services::
- Experience working with survivors of sexual violence.
- Experience working with survivors of sex trafficking.
- Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of interpersonal violence.
- Strong de-escalation skills.
- The ability to provide counseling and/or emotional support to individuals in crisis.
- Experience working with people displaying symptoms of PTSD.
- Direct service experience working with people who are struggling with SUD.
- Excellent supervisory skills, and a proven track record of good leadership.
- Strong community collaboration experience.
- Experience with grant reporting and contract compliance.
This position supervises approximately 5 staff members in Leon and surrounding counties, plus the 24 hour Sexual Assault Nurse Examination (SANE) program. Some on-call hours are required for hospital response to sexual assault victims. Flexible schedule. Must pass a Level 11 background screening. Two years experience in a supervisory role for a crisis intervention program required. Knowledge about the dynamics of sexual assault and sex trafficking required.

Pay: $39,148.86 - $43,476.50 per year
