What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at Regal?

Please NOTE: This position is based at Regal's Corporate Office in Knoxville, TN.

No remote work at this time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Utilize analytical, database, and programming tools to collect data, formulate data models, extract insights, and effectively communicate analytical results

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to suggest business improvements

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and scorecards

Collaborate with key stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs that measure effectiveness of operations and support decision-making

Translate business needs into technical requirements for reporting and necessary data extracts

Become a subject matter expert (SME) of the company’s data

Analyze and understand source system data for validity and completeness, troubleshoot basic data integrity issues, and document findings

Maintain detailed data dictionaries and documentation for all processes

Regular and consistent attendance

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or another related subject.

Two years of experience performing analysis and developing reports, dashboards, and scorecards for actionable insight in both SSRS and Power BI

Extensive proficiency in SQL Server (views, stored procedures, CTEs, linked servers, reviewing execution plans, etc.) and R/Python to analyze large data sets of structured and unstructured data

Strong experience gathering, cleaning, and massaging data from various sources

Advanced proficiency with Excel (functions, power query & power pivot, VBA, etc.)

Experience building data mining and predictive data models

Development and utilization of SSAS cubes with MDX or DAX a strong plus

Working experience of Power Apps a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, adapt to new challenges, and meet project deadlines

None

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to develop and interpret charts.

Language Ability:
Must have good reading, writing and speaking skills to effectively communicate with fellow co-workers and management of other business units.

Reasoning Ability:
Excellent reasoning and analytical skills are necessary to obtain information needed. Ability to analyze the big picture as well as the individual parts is critical.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
