Admissions Coordinator
This is a salaried position.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for referrals and new admissions
- Works with case managers to receive all necessary information for incoming admissions
- Review and accept all referrals with the time period required by the preferred networks
Adequately prepares for new admissions including making sure all paperwork is complete with 24 hours of admission, records are received, DME is available, insurance cards are on file, and any other necessary items needed for admission and stay purposes are planned for and communicated appropriately- Maintains relationships and communications with referral sources to ensure RPRH receives the appropriate volume and types of referrals
- Enhances relationships with current referral sources by identifying additional value RPRH can provide, resulting in additional referrals and admissions
- Works with Marketing Director on planning events to foster working relationships with referral sources and participates in at least 3 marketing events per year
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment
- Always exercises courtesy whenever residents, family members and visitors are present
- Demonstrates pride in Regent Park by keeping areas clean and safe
- Demonstrates ongoing responsibility and commitment through good attendance and by being on time to work
- Respects the privacy and dignity of residents
- Takes call until 7:00pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, rotates call every 2-3 weekends coordinating with the Community Liaison and Administrator
- Required to keep the admissions phone at all times when on duty
- Bonus structure available if meeting goals for the preferred network and community census
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in healthcare and/or senior care industry preferred (Assisted Living/Memory Care, Long-term Care, Rehabilitation)
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work on deadlines
- Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents, visitors and co-workers at all times
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
