LCSW/LMHC

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Social Worker and/ or Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Rego Park Counseling. As a reputable clinic providing substance abuse services, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by addiction. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for helping others and possesses strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse and mental health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Facilitate psychoeducation groups and support groups for clients and their families.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure coordinated and integrated care.
• Assist clients in accessing community resources and support services.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and interventions.
• Adhere to the ethical guidelines and regulations set forth by OASAS and OMH

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling (if not MSW)
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
• Experience in providing substance abuse and mental health services.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment and mental health.
• Familiarity with OASAS/ OMH regulations and documentation requirements.
• Excellent clinical and assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
