What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Manager position at REI Engineers?
Summary: Responsible for the overall planning, development and implementation of the human resources policies and programs. Ensures human resources strategies align with company’s business goals. Oversees the day-to-day management and administration of Human Resources policies, programs, and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with senior management to develop HR strategy, goals and objectives in alignment with company’s business goals and to drive company culture.
- Plans, develops, implements, and administers various policies, programs and best practices in all HR functions including but not limited to compensation, training and development, performance management, employee relations and retention, health and welfare benefits, safety programs, AA/EEO compliance, HR policies and procedures.
- Ensures and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations; files necessary reports (i.e.: EEO-1) as required. Stays abreast of new and changing regulations.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program as Files necessary reports as required.
- Provides support to employees for various HR related topics (i.e.: grievances, leave request, benefit inquiries, compensation, etc.). Handles employee relations at all levels identifying, evaluating, and recommending solutions. Coaches and guides managers with employee relations and disciplinary actions.
- Oversees compensation program including periodic salary survey Ensures job descriptions are current and updated as needed. Monitors performance evaluation program and supports management with succession planning activities.
- Performs benefits administration including employee eligibility/enrollments, claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approvals and benefits communications to employees. Coordinates and manages annual open enrollment and election process. Works closely with benefits broker(s).
- Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case Follows-up on open cases.
- Responsible for all HR administration and record keeping including policy documentation, payroll records, I-9 tracking, personnel and benefit files, COBRA administration, etc.
- Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives and similar engaging employee relation
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or
- 7 to 10 years hands on progressive experience in Human Resources.
- Must have knowledge and experience with employment law, employee relations, and organization development. Experience overseeing payroll.
- PHR or SPHR a plus.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- Sitting 75% of time using computer equipment including desktop or laptop computer, keyboard, mouse,

- Ability to travel by car with occasional overnight stays.
