Reliable Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Social Services Program Specialist III to join our team in Carson City, Nevada.
The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, childcare, social work, crisis management, addiction counseling, motivational interviewing, mentoring, crisis intervention, and supervising.
Position: Social Services Program Specialist III
Location: Carson City, Nevada
Pay Rate: $45.18 ($93,974 yearly)
Schedule (days/hours):40 hours per week, Mon-Fri
Minimum Degree/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study pertinent to the program assignment and two years of professional social services, medical assistance programs, services, or healthcare services experience which included serving as a consultant to professional/supervisory program personnel; directing the operation of a program unit; coordinating program activities with officials and representatives of other agencies; interpretation and application of complex documents such as federal regulations, technical journals, and legislative studies; writing program policies, procedures, and reports; and conducting research and preparing recommendations for management;
Social Services Program Specialist 3, Grade 37:
This position will perform administrative and professional work in conjunction with the program to include participation and coordination of the planning and development of the program to provide needed services, conduct needs assessments, research and evaluate existing programs, identify community resources, and prepare reports and recommendations to management, develop program plans and acquire administrative approval. The position will be responsible for monitoring program quality and compliance to ensure the program is operating effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with program requirements.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and oversee programs that meet the needs of the community
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in need
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans
- Coordinate with external agencies and resources to provide comprehensive services
- Monitor program outcomes and make recommendations for improvements
- Supervise program staff and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology)
- Proven experience in behavioral health, childcare, social work, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques and addiction counseling
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing and mentoring practices
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and provide crisis intervention
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs is a plus
- Experience in supervising staff and managing programs effectively
