Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in various commercial settings. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our clients and their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine floor cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to remove stains, spills, and debris from floors
- Operate floor care machines such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Strip and wax floors as needed to maintain their shine and durability
- Follow established procedures for the proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals
- Ensure that all safety precautions are taken while working with cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or malfunctions
Experience:
- Previous experience in environmental services or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with different types of flooring materials and their specific cleaning requirements
- Ability to operate floor care machines safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated.
