Reliance Crane & Hoist LLC is a material handling company specializing in the supply and maintenance of overhead cranes, hoists and fall protection systems.  Serving the Mid-Atlantic region with locations in York, PA, Ephrata, PA and Chambersburg, PA.  We are centrally located to service, inspect and supply parts for all your material handling needs.  Having been in business since 1995, Reliance Crane & Hoist LLC has the knowledge and experience you need to plan your new system or to get you back up and running.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join our growing team in York, PA. Primary responsibilities include supervising the job site while mentoring, managing and training the Field Service Technicians.  The Site Foreman will work alongside the Technicians repairing plant equipment, preventative maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and performing other related duties. Electrical and overhead crane experience is preferred. Our Technicians work at various facilities located throughout central PA, the company will provide transportation. Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for supervision of the job sites
• Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed at all sites, at all times
• Delegate responsibilities to the technicians
• Mentor, manage and train the technicians
• Monitor the attendance of the technicians
• Responsible for reviewing, approving and submitting Field Service Technician timecards
• Oversee quality standards on all sites
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on-site quickly and amicably
• Report project status to Operations Manager
• Assemble, erect, install and wire new crane systems.
• Perform repairs, maintenance and inspections of overhead cranes and hoists
• Troubleshooting to include mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic failures and determine repairs for all types of overhead cranes, jib cranes, hoists and fall protection
• Understand and learn equipment operation through training, observation, and reading operations manuals
• Develop and maintain positive customer relations 
• Efficiently communicate with other plant personnel
• Input daily log/work order information into our software
• Responsible for performing all work in compliance OSHA regulations, including company and customer safety rules and procedures
• Occasional out of town travel/overnight stay
• Perform other related duties as required

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED is required; secondary education is appreciated and will be considered when determining pay scale
• 4 years experience as a site foreman
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• 1-2 years of experience in overhead bridge crane maintenance is preferred
• Electrical and mechanical experience is preferred
• Basic welding and torching may be required
• Comprehension of machine manuals is required
• 480v 3 Phase electrical experience is required
• VFD experience is preferred
• Current driver's license is required
• Ability to work independently and have a strong work ethic
• Basic computer skills are preferred
• Must be comfortable with working at elevated heights
• Must be familiar with and willing to learn OSHA safety regulations
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting and be able to stand for long periods of time
• Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills
• Must be willing to work some weekends and evenings as required based on client shutdown
