Job Function
- SALES & MARKETING:
- Primary responsibility for business development strategy, including business planning and execution that leads to outstanding performance
- Recruit & Retain a highly engaged sales staff focused on profitable business development
- Lead all pricing and contract negotiation that leads to performance to Feralloy’s manageable assets; Margin, Inventory, Receivables
- Promote a partnership environment with all personnel at Feralloy locations and sister Family of Companies (FOC)
- Manage balance of direct sale and toll processing businesses to maximum long term profits and diversification strategy
- CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Along with the Marketing & Service Manager, the Sales Manager will guide a coordinated customer service effort that is best in class for our customers.
- Operate in accordance with Feralloy’s other divisions as there will be many shared customers

- 4 Year college education; must have a minimum of 5 years steel related or steel experience.
- High School diploma/GED required, Bachelor degree preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to meet company insurability standards.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services required.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service required.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material required.
- Understanding of company product(s) and their uses required.
- Knowledge of the metals industry required.
- Experience with CRM preferred.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public required.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly a strong virtual presence and listening skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including analysis, knowledge and experience, and judgment required.
- Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers and customers required.
- Strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft applications required.
Work Environment : Office setting controlled temperature environment
Travel : Up to 100%
