What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Dietary Services position at Remarkable Healthcare?
We are currently seeking an experienced Food Serviced Manager for our skilled nursing facility.
Interested candidates must have 2 years experience managing the dietary department in a nursing facility or hospital setting.
Candidates must also have completed the food managers program and have a current food manager certification.
The manager will be responsible for cooking meals, directing the food service department, process diet changes, interview residents or family members to obtain diet history, assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and supervising dietary staff.
Interested parties must present a positive professional attitude and outstanding customer service skills and reflect respect, dignity and compassion.
Qualifications
Food Service Manager Certification
2 year of experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Assist in developing and implementing department policies and procedures.
Previous experience managing hourly employees.
Ensure that food service work areas are maintaned in a clean and sanitary manner.
Place orders for equipment, supplies and food as necessary.
Participate in completing the Resident Assessment Instrument (MDS) to ensure the resident's dietary needs are met.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
