Seeking a self-motivated Surgical Registered Nurse to join a busy and growing acute care facility in the Johnstown, PA area. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with a passion for treating patients and improving quality of life.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on patient assessments, needs, and conditions
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with physicians and staff regarding changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Provide patient and family education based on individualized learning needs
- Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and precept student nurses and new hires
Job Requirements/License/Certifications:
- Current unrestricted Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of employment start date
- Graduate of An Accredited Nursing Program
- 1 year of clinical experience as an RN in an acute care setting preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and EMR/EHR systems
- Must possess technical skills and knowledge of medical nursing procedures, first aid, and basic principles of Nursing
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate the ability to establish a high level of trust and dependability with patients & coworkers
Schedule:
(3) 12-hour shifts, either 7am-730pm or 7pm-730am during the week and a rotation of every other weekend (every other weekend will be included in the (3)12-hour shifts).
The days during the week may change weekly but the shift itself will be the same.
Salary : $30 - $36
