Purpose for the Position:
The Sales Event Manager works hand in hand with Sales, Catering, F&B and other departments to keep event operations running smoothly. The primary focus is to generate revenues for all event spaces within the property. To host guest and foster strong customer service relationships.
- Act as onsite contact for all assigned groups, as well as working with the customer to produce BEO's and
Convention Resumes. Ensures that all special arrangements - Food and Beverage, Audio Visual, and other requests are properly documented on BEO's and signed by authorized representative. - Participate in negotiating meetings/functions, rooms, rates and all related requirements. Ensure maximization of room and meeting space, revenues and profits, while delivering a quality guest experience
- Excellent creative skills to provide innovative set-ups, menus, and functions for groups. Ability to generate creative and innovative menus while working closely with Chef on pricing specialty menus.
- Handling problems that arise to help the event go off smoothly
- Overseeing servers, kitchen staff, cleaning crews and other workers who will set up for, work during or clean up after the event
- Ensuring that events comply with insurance, health and safety standards
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and planning skills to coordinate the actions of multiple parties
- Creative thinking skills to design events that fit the visions of the clients
This position requires a hands-on approach (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and handle objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). You will be on your feet and moving with purpose (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time).

Salary : $62,000 - $65,000
