Loss Prevention Director
The Loss Prevention Director is on the front line of defence to identify and prevent theft of cash and merchandise. A great Loss Prevention Director is driven, has outstanding analytical skills, and is not afraid to dig in and find the truth.
This position is never boring and requires extensive travel (4 to 5 days a week) throughout Rent One and RNR stores.

- Help improve store performance and operations by teaching at the store level and interacting with the RSM's and RSD's.
- Protect store vehicles and Coworkers from injury.
Requirements :
Location of position is Arkansas, Southern MO, Tennessee area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- 2 years' of RTO or retail loss prevention experience is required;
- Strong observation skills;
- Strong understanding of business processes;
- Ability for in-depth analysis of business reporting to identify anomalies that may indicate shrinkage;
- Must have valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that complies with organizational standards.
A day in the life of a Loss Prevention Director varies, but regular activities include :
- Responsible for the investigation and detection of coworker and vendor activity that would cause a loss to Company assets.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining awareness programs or audits relating to shortage, theft prevention, inventory control, and safety.
- Document and report company policy and procedure violations perpetrated by coworkers in a formal written report.
- Monitors all Rent One's / RNR's safety policies and procedures.
- Monitors / Reviews surveillance video to ensure compliance with case and inventory control guidelines.
- Report incidents of coworker theft or safety violations to management.
- Conduct surveillances of coworkers and conduct preliminary investigations of suspected internal theft or fraud.
- When instructed, interviews individuals who are suspected of misappropriation of company assets. These interviews must be made in accordance with established polices and procedures.
- Performs audits as directed by the Chief Financial Officer and as determined by reporting metric analysis to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Assists in developing procedures to manage and control shrink.
- Data entry of audit results and assigned information.
- Partnering with facilities management to professionally monitor physical security polices and procedures of Rent One / RNR locations.
- Provide support to the Operations team as needed or directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Provide training to stores to help them do their jobs within company standards.
