Responsibilities:

What do our Compensation Analysts do?

The Compensation Analyst position will assist in the day-to-day administration of employee compensation programs. The functions includes, but not limited to, assisting in the administration of the annual bonus and merit processes, performing job analysis review and provide recommendations, responding to annual salary surveys, assisting with the annual salary structure movement and creating and updating salary ranges as well as working with our HRIS department to update and maintaining the compensation functions in UKG. This role serves as a subject matter expert.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Evaluate and analyze jobs to ensure competitiveness with the market and internal equity
  • Create and modify job descriptions, prepare and maintain compensation plan documents, policies, and guidelines for base pay, variable pay, sales commission and bonus programs
  • Provide analysis of compensation programs to ensure compliance to state and federal legislations such as FLSA
  • Participates in running the annual merit and bonus planning processes
  • Utilizes data and analytical insight to assess the performance and cost-effectiveness of compensation programs
  • Administers variable pay and sales compensation plans on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Participate in salary surveys and ensure survey timelines are met.
  • Conduct market pricing and prepare analysis
  • Performs audits to assist with the data integrity for internal systems and reporting tools
  • Create and maintain Compensation structures, programs and policies to ensure achievement and competitiveness externally within the market
  • Administer monthly and quarterly bonuses
  • Serves as a subject matter expert providing guidance to HR Directors, HR Business Partners and Business leaders on compensation matters
  • Participates in compensation related projects

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of Compensation experience with Data Analysis or Human Resources experience in a multi-unit organization
  • Experience in base wage and salary administration programs to include market pricing jobs with an understanding of salary bands, merit and performance management programs
  • Financial modeling and forecasting experience utilizing the advanced features of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, if/then statements, macros are a plus and regression analysis
  • Experience in various compensation and incentive programs required
  • Experience utilizing variable and commission pay plans
  • Proficient in Google Sheet is a plus
  • Sales Compensation is a plus but not required
  • UKG (formally Ultipro) preferred but not required
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen
