Staff Accountant

Overview

Renuity is seeking a Staff Accountant in Grapevine, TX who is responsible for assisting with maintaining financial records and reports, performing general ledger account and bank statement reconciliations, preparing journal entries, maintaining accounts payable documentation. The staff accountant will also assist the Senior Accountant as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do: 

• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Assist with daily treasury tasks
• Proactively identify areas of inefficiency, and make recommendations for improvement accordingly
• Assist with external audit requests to ensure compliance
• Ensure that sales taxes are filed and payments are remitted on time and accurately
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process including all closing procedures
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

What You'll Bring:

• Associate or Bachelors Degree Required
• CPA Track Preferred
• 1-3 Years of experience in a high-growth organization
• Intellectually curious, proactive in learning about the business and understanding the needs of business partners
• Detail-oriented, superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain organized and consistently meet deadlines
• Comfortable working with evolving business needs 
• Open to learning unfamiliar systems and processes
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees. Adept in Microsoft Excel and other Office products
