Repsol is hiring an I&C and Automation Coordinator to support maintenance operations for the Eagle Ford Business Unit, to be based in Three Rivers, Texas. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and will oversee I&C automation technical personnel. Position Summary The I&C and Automation Coordinator manages, plans and ensures the effective implementation of all preventative and corrective maintenance as related to instrumentation/control and Automation equipment and quality assurance requirements for this production area. This individual guide and directs instrument & automation technical personnel, contributing to employee’s performance and development. In addition to, leading others, this employee brings a high level of expertise to the role with focus on safe production. Location & Schedule Position will be onsite based in Three Rivers, Texas. Candidates should be able to reasonably commute to this location on a daily basis, as the position does not include relocation support or mileage reimbursement. Position is Exempt, full time salaried. Candidates must be willing to work extended hours outside of the standard 40-hour work week, including weekends and holidays, and must be available to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Participates in process safety activities as required. Initiate’s management of change when required. Execute and maintain owner user program for the Instrumentation & Automation of all Repsol owned equipment. Ensures that all stakeholders comply with their roles and responsibilities by field supervising. Keeps abreast on upcoming changes to regulations, codes, and standards. Ensure that the maintenance and inspection plans are executed accordingly to the maintenance strategy and plans defined in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and the Computerized Integrity Management System (CIMS). Review condition-based results and provides input to maintenance engineering excellence centers. Being a Contract Holder of Instrumentation & Automation execution contracts and manages contractors and ensure procurement to pay process is followed. Defining execution scopes of work for Instrumentation and Automation activities (mainly corrective activities) including material, activities, procedures and other resources required. Support Supply Chain Management on defining the consumable, Spare part and other material required for executing maintenance work. Analysis of maintenance and process safety KPI’s and use them to identify and areas of improvement related to execution phase. Validate the quality and completeness of the data reported by technician in the work orders (to report work execution progress) including time confirmation, resources used and Final reports. Assume responsibility for all associated budget activities, and cost controls. Safely oversees contractors, this could include writing electronic permit to work, task observations and training. Participate and support maintenance planner on Instrumentation and electrical activities prioritization for weekly integrated scheduling. Within their area, actively participate in the production of Operational and Instructive Procedures and all necessary updates of the existing ones, with the aim of reflecting lessons learned and good operational practices. Carry out preventative safety and environmental observations, report the occurrence of incidents/accidents by means of the corresponding applications and collaborate on the investigation and documentation of all aspects relating to the incident/accident. Required Technical Qualifications Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any company without the need for sponsorship currently or in the future. Experience as a journeyman in either Automation and/or Instrumentation with a working knowledge of both. 5 years related experience in the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry and in a supervisory role, preferred, but other education and experience may be considered. Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Wonderware or Ifix, Scada Pack, ABB, Red Lion, Bejier displays, ROC and Allen-Bradley software and others. Required Experience & Skills Knowledge and understanding of ANSI, & API standards and specifications for pneumatic pressure and liquid controllers, throttle/snap pilots, control valves, liquid level switch’s, regulators, dump valves, etc. Must have demonstrated technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair UPS systems. Previous experience participating in RCA’s and improvement of facility’s I & C and Automation Process’s & PM’s. Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks & prioritize work. Knowledge of facility’s control logic systems able to perform maintenance and repairs to transmitters, control valves and calibration of analyzers and control components. Working knowledge of interfacing with DCS (Distributive Control Systems) and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). Able to maintain & update facility P & ID schematics - Must have a complete working knowledge of Control logic, Flow process’s P&IDs, electrical/pneumatic schematics and technical manuals. Ability to work under DOT, OQ and PSM regulation. Experience maintaining calibration & certification associated records for all test equipment. Understands how to diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Will mentor I&C and Automation technicians Apprentices.
