What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Republic Finance?
As a Project Coordinator at Republic Finance you will play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of various projects. We look for individuals that are self-starters, capable of critical thinking, effective communication, collaboration, and problem solving.
- Document project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Document project tasks. Create and maintain project plans.
- Act as the central point of contact for the project teams to track project task completion and timelines.
- Work with project team members to coordinate effective collaboration to complete project tasks and problem solve if issues arise.
- Document and lead the project team to discuss project risks and issues.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, sites, and updates.
- Work with project team resources and the PMO to document resource allocations throughout the project. Assist with resource conflict resolution.
- Provide clear and effective communication to project teams, stakeholders, and PMO office. Build relationships within the project team and other departments.
- Use tools, templates, and follow standardized project processes implemented by the PMO throughout the entire project process.
- Lead project closure processes.
- Assist other Project Managers or Program Managers on special projects or PMO initiatives. Act as a liaison between project team members and the lead PM on the project.
- Contribute to PMO process review and improvement activities.
- Positive, can-do attitude with ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience as a Project Assistant or similar role.
- Limited travel if located in Baton Rouge, LA; travel up to 25% if located elsewhere.
- Experience with managing tasks and timelines as well as coordinating, scheduling, and leading meetings.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills including attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to stay calm and work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year in a project assistant or project coordinator role.
