The Used Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for developing the used equipment segment in a defined sales area. This role will be key in leading the used equipment business to achieve consistent growth, awareness and dealer participation.

DUTIES

  • Represents the company for the sale of used equipment to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all HCMA used equipment.
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and works with management to proactively target customers.
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management using a CRM.
  • Maintains current knowledge of programs and financing to assist in the selling of used equipment
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
  • Coordinate customer activities and lead quoting and pricing to direct customers.
  • Take appropriate actions on concerns and issues from customers and field personnel.
  • Monitor, follow-up and report sub-regional market dynamics and segment performance to management as
  • Work with RBM to secure dealer support of aftersales competencies for customer segments and motivate dealer in supporting the segment customers.
  • Drive residual value.
  • Drive profitability.
  • Used equipment margin and revenue in a defined sales area.
  • Interfacing with assigned customers.
  • Customer profitability through strategic development of assigned customers.
  • Customer forecasting.
  • Effective implementation of customer tools (Consite, telematics, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

  • HCMA product knowledge
  • (Minimum) Bachelors degree in marketing, finance, or management
  • (Preferred) Masters degree in marketing, finance, or management
  • Extensive industry experience and knowledge may be considered in lieu of degree requirements in exceptional circumstances
  • (Minimum) 5 years practical working experience in steering a distribution network toward profitability and growth
  • (Preferred) 10 years practical working experience in steering a distribution network toward profitability and growth
  • Works in both office and field environments
  • Able to perform duties effectively in a fast paced environment whether working autonomously or under direction
  • Extensive travel may be required
