The Rescue Mission of Trenton is looking to hire or contract with a Manager of Community Engagement.

The individual we are seeking has a passion for social justice and equity and deeply believes that every individual, regardless of circumstances, deserves access to health care, employment, education and housing.

He or she will organize and manage programs and initiatives that promote community participation, enhancing the involvement of local religious affiliates, civic associations, corporations and individuals. This individual will have a flair for enthusiastically connecting with, engaging and educating key representatives throughout the community about The Mission, including our history, struggles, successes, goals and how their contribution (monetary or voluntary) can make a significant impact.

This individual will also supervise all participation and volunteer activities at The Mission, including groups and individuals from: colleges and universities, corporations, religious affiliates, civic organizations, and government agencies.

He or she will be enthusiastic about presenting to all employer and non-profit events and fairs, as well as providing tours of The Mission, including fundraising events, and special visitors.

And this talented, committed and compassionate individual will plan and develop correspondence (mail, email, phone calls, and social media posts) to follow up with individuals and organizations who have helped; and to attract organizations that have been identified as potentially interested in helping us to feed those who are hungry, house those who are homeless, counsel those seeking recovery, and provide life-changing opportunities.

We are open to this individual being full-time, part-time or a consultant.

Qualifications::Master’s Degree preferred and three years Marketing retail/sales experience
Valid Driver’s License

Schedule:: Monday - Friday 8a-4p with flexibility and some required weekends
Salary Range:: $60,000 - $84,000 (salary impacted by experience, qualifications, FT, PT, Consultant)
