The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking one (1) qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Program Manager for the Office of Mental Health (OMH), to oversee the successful implementation of INSET programs, statewide.
The INSET Program Manager will coordinate all aspects of INSET Program implementations including collaboration with consultants and the Office of Population Health and Evaluation (OPHE) to establish fidelity measures, desired outcomes, and measures of success. The incumbent would also be responsible for coordinating and providing trainings, technical assistance, one on one support for successful launch of INSET programs, all in collaboration with the Director of Program Management.
This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong attention to detail; excellent administrative and communication skills; who can relate well to a diverse group of project stakeholders, and who can work both independently and as a part of a team. The position also requires subject matter expertise in the field of Peer Support, particularly in crisis services. Individual must have proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Individual would ideally have knowledge of REDCAP and other survey tools (e.g., Survey Monkey.)
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director, Program Management and the Chief Advocacy and Peer Support Services Officer, the person in this position will develop, coordinate, and monitor INSET programs by performing the following tasks:
Program Oversight:
o Work with INSET programs to troubleshoot, plan and address resource and other constraints through a series of planned monthly discussions which support and strengthen INSET program governance structures.
Project Coordination and Administrative Support:
o Coordinate statewide implementation support activities for INSET programs.
o Establish and maintain systems for recording, tracking, and updating INSET program materials, such as Microsoft Teams groups, shared drives, and group distribution lists
o Develop and maintain tracking spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
o Collaborate with state-partner agencies including OASAS on all aspects of INSET programming
Reporting:
o Collaboration with the Director of Program Management, develop a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan for INSET programs.
o Work with INSET programs and key stakeholders to implement actionable recommendations from report data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, public health, or a related social science field
- Four years of relevant work experience in the fields of mental health, peer support services, human services or a related field may substitute for the educational requirement.
- 2-year experience in the public mental health or crisis service systems as well as trauma-informed best practices
- 1 year of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in the field of Peer Support in crisis services
- An active New York Peer Specialist Certification or active Credentials in Youth Peer Advocacy or Family Peer Advocacy
- An active Certified Recovery Peer Advocate certification
- 1 year experience with program development and implementation in community-based, peer-led settings.
- 1 year or more experience with providing training and technical assistance, specifically to programs serving individuals returning to the community from institutional settings
- 1 year of experience with information technology business analysis.
- 1 year or more experience with providing training and technical assistance.
