A small niche General Contractor, with 25 years in business specializing in high-end woodwork needs a project supervisor position filled. Seeking qualified candidate to be the onsite Construction Project Supervisor for a high-end restaurant build out. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, effectively monitoring, provide updates to project team members and produce daily progress documentation. Supervisor will be present on the construction site in order to ensure that set standards are adhered to. Ideal candidates would be able to wear many hats, must be thorough, organized, have an exceptional eye for detail, and be prepared for anything at any.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise onsite subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients as needed
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Comply with City and County building regulations
- Maintains project administration in a correct and timely manner.
- Meets company operation standards by contributing construction information to assist strategic plans and reviews
- Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope.
- Assist with construction approval of trades by conducting inspections at critical phases.
- Prevents fines and work interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, OSHA standards, and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership qualities
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in residential or commercial construction or in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Comfortable with computer and phone.
- Ability to self-start and prioritize tasks and projects with little supervision.
- Ability to communicate and work independently as well as part of a team
- Minimum high school diploma; advanced degree, course work and/or certifications preferable.
- Ability to read construction blueprints and store elevation drawings
- Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines
- Great time management and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,400.00 - $1,950.00 per week
