What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Recovery Advocate position at Resilience Recovery Residences?
Resilience Recovery Residences is an all male, young adult sober living/extended-care facility, with an oupatient substance abuse treatment center, Resilience Recovery Resources. It is a highly structured program for young adult males after their primary treatment has completed. We are a tightly knit team and care for a vulnerable population in a transition phase of their lives. Communication, collaboration and empathy are extremely important. Employee will be working at the sober living and expected to be awake on duty and watch over the multi-unit property overnight from the hours of 12a to 8a. Part-time 3-4 nights a week. Duties includes but is not limited to:
- Doing rounds around the property to make sure everyone is safe and accounted for
- Various cleaning tasks on property
- Sending out periodic updates of tasks complete and resident checks and completing shift reports
- Interacting with clients who may be struggling
- Ability to problem solve
Experience in treatment is preferred but not necessary, willing to train for position. Requirements include:
- At least a High school diploma or equivalent expected.
- Must have at least 1 year sober if in recovery.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license and car insurance.
- Must have great communication and problem-solving skills and ability to take direction.
- Must have no previous or active criminal charges (off parole/probation for at least 3 years) that would disqualify them from working with adolescents/passing a Level 2 background check with DCF.'
