Corporate In-House Counsel
Fast-growing consumer protection-oriented organization looking to grow its litigation department with the addition of an attorney with 0-3 years of experience in civil litigation and contract disputes. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Legal research
- Drafting legal memorandum, pleadings, motions
- Client correspondence
- Drafting/reviewing/responding to discovery documents, as well as motions
- Conducting and/or defending depositions
- Court appearances
- Meeting with clients, attorneys, and witnesses
Qualifications
- License to practice law in Missouri and Federal Court required
- 1-2 years experience is a plus
- Must demonstrate clear knowledge of legal procedure and contract disputes
- Prior trial experience, arbitration and mediation experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Self-starter who takes ownership of executing tasks
- Well organized
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex caseloads
- Effective team player
- Ambition to learn front line litigation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
