RES is looking for a Mitigation Credit Sales Manager, a professional, detail-oriented individual to assist the company with administrative, account management, and sales transaction duties related sales of its to Nutrient, Offset and Stream and Wetland Mitigation credits. Applicant must be capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks at once. The applicant will be responsible for developing new leads and relationships, communicating with customers, understanding their needs and timeline and executing the sale. The applicant should be self-motivated, organized, quick learning, flexible, and a team player. This role will be essential in ensuring continued growth of RES credit sales; the individual’s insights will be leveraged to inform future investment and sales strategy. This role will manage at least one Credit Sales Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers and prospects, making outbound calls to potential targets and following up on leads.
- Supervise Credit Sales Coordinator, who will process recording of VA, MD and NC retail credit sales transactions – including letters of availability, contracts, credit ledger maintenance, invoicing, check deposits, etc.
- Supervise Credit Sales Coordinator, who will manage all VA, MD and NC project credit ledgers – including documentation on booked credit sales, credit releases and inventory
- Communicate customer feedback to broader sales team to optimize investment strategy, ensuring that future bank development efforts reflect market demand
- Retain strong understanding of project budgets/costs to inform pricing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or other work experience may substitute
- Minimum two years’ experience in a sales role with demonstrable experience in meeting defined sales targets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with a diverse audience
- Ability to accomplish numerous tasks with competing priorities; a willing attitude to undertake all professional tasks necessary to accomplish company goals
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales and marketing of mitigation bank credits, including knowledge of service areas and HUCs in VA, MD and NC
- Previous experience in sales management, or at least in supervising an employee’s activities
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com, or another CRM solution
- Experience in supporting and driving sales and business development efforts in a fast-growing company
- Environmental science background
