We are an ever expanding accounting firm looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to process and manage client payrolls. A Payroll Specialist is able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. Excellent opportunity for recent graduates, seasoned pros, and anyone looking for opportunity and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating tips, overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and clients
- Update and maintain payroll and employee data
Skills
- Experience as payroll specialist or payroll manager a plus
- Experience with Execupay Payroll Software a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software a plus
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
- Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Starting salary is $45,000.00 annually, (commensurate with experience). After a 90 day introductory period, you will be eligible for a benefit package that includes an IRA with 3% company match, short term disability insurance, life insurance, and health insurance (50% single plan paid by employer).
