Description
Overview:
As the Kitchen Manager, you are responsible for the quality assurance of all food production, cost of food, ordering of food to par and should have a working knowledge of all-applicable health and sanitation requirements. This is a hand’s on position.
Requirements
- Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary staff
- Observe staff in the daily operation of the kitchen, checking methods of food preparation, portioning, cooking, garnishing and timeliness of food preparation
- Maintain a recipe book of all production items and monitor its’ proper use
- Control food ordering and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Must adhere to budgeted food cost, sanitation, and quality control expectations
- Develop and implement creative menu specials within the restaurant concept
- Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all state, federal and OSHA regulations
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3 years of Kitchen Manager experience in a full service dining environment
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pleasant, polite manner, neat and clean appearance
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Word
