Auction Floor Associate

Description

The full-time Auction Support Associate position is a vital part of our Auction operations. In this role you are responsible for functions such as moving and building pallets, repetitive lifting up to 40 lbs , assisted team lifts, helping set-up for the Thursday auction, customer pick up's on Friday, and other administrative and department team efforts, as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Functions:

• Provide excellent customer service to Auction customers
• Sort and/or price general merchandise and clothing based on commodity, condition, and value of goods for auction floor
• Tag auction individual and pallet items
• Load merchandise for customers after purchase
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Assist with POS cashier transactions as needed
• Other supportive duties as assigned

COMPENSATION:

• Pay: $15.75-18.27 per hour based on experience
• Work Schedule: 40 hour work schedule. Shift may vary Monday through Wednesday between 7:00am and 4:00pm. Thursday set schedule 7:00am to 8:00pm, Friday set schedule 7:00am, 6:30pm.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

• Operation of a pallet jack and other material handling equipment; not required, but will be expected to learn
• Working knowledge of general retail merchandise types and values
• Bilingual, preferred
• POS and cash handling experience 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sales Experience, preferred
• Strong teamwork ethics 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Prolonged standing and/or sitting for duration of work shift.
• Varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level.
• Occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling at checkout stations.
• Potential use of merchandise equipment such as box cutters, bin containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks.

Salary : $16 - $18
